Initially, the largest part of the Deaf Ministry Training Center will be to train the Deaf to reach the
Deaf. Deaf believers are the most effective communicators of the gospel among the Deaf and we
are designing a course of study that will help them become equipped to “go and make disciples.”
We have some passionate teachers on the faculty list who wholeheartedly believe in this project.
We would like prayer for God’s direction on the classes that we will offer and that He will raise up a
generation of Deaf believers who desire to start a church planting movement among the Deaf.

This year, we have arranged the classes into three catagories: biblical, vocational, and self-confidence.
Since we are reaching a non-literate people group,
whose language is visual, we realized that the gospel
must go out in a visual medium. In our new video
studio, our students will get experience in front of and
behind the camera, and editing.

BIBLICAL
VOCATIONAL
If it ain't broke, don't fix it. We had such positive results
from the classes last year that we will continue with
some of the same. We will be building a house for a
family in town again so the boys have stepped up the
construction training. The girls will make the curtains
for the house and this year they will help paint the
interior of the house.

SELF-CONFIDENCE
This year we added an element to their training that requires them to get out of their comfort zone. We can
all think of times when we were faced with a challenge that we thought was insurmountable. Then, when
we were victorious through it, we gained an inner confidence to face future challenges. Sometimes the
process of facing the challenge does not seem enjoyable but the results make it worth all that work.
The boys will take weight training with Howard and the girls will train for a 5K race with Erin.

After the first of the year, we hope to get the students actual work experience in town. Please pray for this
added aspect of the TC program. There are a few hurdles to cross and we want to walk (and hurdle) in step
with the Holy Spirit.
